Some Facts about F1

Fact 1

Cost of A Modern Formula-1 Car

The Modern Formula-1 Cars Cost more than $20Million and the cost vary every season depending on the regulations.

2021 Car Costed $20Million.
Fact 2

Number of Components that can be Used

Teams are allowed a maximum of 3 engines, three motor generator units-heat, three turbochargers, two control electronics, and two energy stores.

Using More than the limit will lead to grid penalties.
Fact 3

Supplier of The Tyres

The Company that supply tyres to Formula 1 Teams is Pirelli.

They just signed another contract with Formula 1 in 2024.
Fact 4

No Driver Assistance Technology

F1 cars don't come with driver assistance technology like stability control, ABS, or traction control, making them extremely difficult to push in the rain for the driver.

Also they need to replace their tyres with the slower wet tyres in rain.
Fact 5

Left Foot Braking

There isn't sufficient room in the car's footwell to allow for right foot braking, and most cars don't even have a footrest on the left side like your daily driver.

Hence left Foot is used for Braking.
Fact 6

G Forces on the Driver

Drivers are constantly experiencing high g-forces in a F1 Car that have drastic effects on the human body. They are hit by about 5g while braking, 2g while accelerating, and 4 to 6g while cornering.

Fighter Jets Experience Forces of 9G
Fact 7

Minimum Combined Weight For an F1 Car

Formula One cars and drivers must meet a minimum combined weight for safety and speed reasons. In 2022, they have to weigh at least 1759 pounds, and dead weights are added where the driver is too light.

After Race All Drivers are Measured for after-race measurements.
Fact 8

Engine Revs

A typical engine has a maximum speed ranging between 6000 and 7000rpm. Any around 8k is considered a high-revving engine. The highest revving sports cars like Gordon Murray's T.50 can do as much as 12,000 rpm. This doesn't come close to Formula One cars.

F1 engines are built to rev up to 20,000rpm.

Formula 1 & ME

I got into formula 1 after my friend forced me to watch a race when I saw the race I was Amazed by the effort being put by Drivers and Teams To Compete. I became a Fan of the Adrenaline Rush and Excitement all Around The Sport.

I started researching more and more into the sport learning the rules and seing the races and my excitement was unmatchable. Then I started Diving in The History of The Sport and I found my Favourite Racing Driver Ayrton Senna. The way Ayrton Drove was so different to other drivers. The passion that he had, his driving style everything thing was so unique about him and his aura was that of a champion.
